Kaydee came up to visit during the first weekend in November and we did an early Thanksgiving and Christmas with Jeremy's whole family at our house... while it snowed two feet outside! We set up tables in the playroom and actually fit all 36 of us in there!! Then we did a hot potato like game with gifts for the kids, watched Polar Express, had a little party to celebrate Jeremy's recent promotion, and filled Christmas Stockings for each of the kids. It was good to have all of us together.
I am never baking another turkey!! We made two--one baked, one on the BBQ--and though the baked one was good, the BBQed one was incredible! Jeremy put thick slabs of bacon over the top with citrus and onion inside. It was so moist and had great flavor. So I told Jeremy that we will always BBQ our turkey from now on. I am perfectly happy to pass that off to him!
