Alice in Wonderland: Performance Night #1--Sami and Emmy

Relaxing before the show.  Here's a good look at her white stripe.  She got to be the red rose that didn't get painted all the way and ends up getting beheaded.

Emmy's teacher moved to Seattle shortly after this performance.  Emmy misses her and still talks of her often.
 Backstage

On Stage, Emmy came running out ahead of her line instead of tiptoing, like in rehearsal, but she didn't do much dancing.  You see, during the dress rehearsals there had been no backdrop or little door, and there certainly hadn't been a beautiful girl (who looks a lot like one of my friends that Emmy just adores) lying on the stage smiling.  Emmy spent more time just staring at 'Alice' and the backdrop than she spent dancing!!  She was darling!  Even when they went to exit the stage, Emmy stayed back to smile and stare at Alice.  She had the whole audience oohing, ahhing, and chuckling at her.
Sami did a fabulous job!  She didn't mess up once and was very enjoyable to watch...

Especially when she reached her 'solo'

7 and 8 months old

Kassi is growing and changing so much!  In the last couple of months, she has learned to use the walker, the jumper, and the toy box.  She has also discovered a love for the bathtub!  Much to her dismay, she has also become old enough to use the highchairs and her crib.  We have put away the bouncer, bumbo, and baby swing among other infant items.  (*sigh*)  She has started babbling more and having an opinion about pretty much everything.  One of her favorite pastimes is rolling around the floor.  She often prefers this to being held.  She hasn't shown much interest in crawling (reminding me a lot of Sami) but gets what she wants by leaning where she's sitting or toppling over and rolling to where she wants to be.
Kassi's favorite food right now is... I don't know.  For some reason, she's decided that baby food (or even grown up food that's been processed to the consistency of baby food) is not for her.  But she doesn't have teeth yet!  So her food options seem limited.  She likes to feed herself but is still learning to pinch things when she picks them up.
She loves sippy cups of Almond Milk!
I love how interactive Kassi has become.  We often have moments of just looking at each other and smiling.   She likes it when I echo her cooing sounds and I like it when she sings to me as I sing to her.  She also likes to sing with the piano.  She gives kisses, hugs, and snuggles freely to her daddy and me.  She thinks her Daddy and sisters are the best and is quick to smile and laugh at them.  That being said, Kassi is still a Mama's Girl!

Here are some of my favorite pictures taken over the last couple of months:

Sami's 2012 Highlights!

Turns out, I love skiing. It's like my favorite hobby now. I like to go down the green hill especially. I can't wait to do more harder hills. I thank Dad for teaching me.

Oh, by the way, I have a twin/cousin! We look really alike now that we both have glasses. We even had matching socks! (literally) And we had matchin bracelets! They were exactally the same exept for the color. Too bad that twin lives all the way in California. Thanks, Morgan for giving us the matching stiles.

Dress Rehearsals

I took the two younger girls in for their dress rehearsals. They were so cute!  And in Emmy's case, soooo funny!  She was bouncing all over the place, and could not seem to understand that she was supposed to tiptoe in a line in order to enter the stage.  Ally did great!  No tears on the stage this time!
Jeremy took Sami to the first of her two dress rehearsals.  She was feeling nervous because of her little solo but I think she will do wonderfully!
 Waiting patiently

 Bouncing away!
