Mother's Log August, 2015

August 1
We went camping last night!  We found this great spot not too far from home that works perfectly for a one or two nighter.  It's car camping but you really can't hike in with so many young children. We did go for a hike, though!   Or at least part of one.  One of the girls mentioned bears and the time that Jeremy took the girls camping and a bear invaded their camp and got into the cooler.  Emmy started worrying that if we hiked too far into the woods we would meet a bear.   Jeremy, of course, played off this and started talking like a bear was watching us.  Emmy played right into it and Ally joined her and pretty soon they were both freaking out.  But we kept hiking.  Sami saw a snake and screamed.  That helped things along.  The girls started hiking in a pack. Then Sami screamed again.  This time it was because a bee or some bug had bit her.  The fun was all over.  We headed back to camp.  :/
At one point, though, Kassi tooted.  Jeremy exclaimed "Kassi!" who quickly responded with "It wasn't me!  It was the bear!!"  Hilarious!

First day of school!  Where did the summer go??  It was like a whirlwind... thus the lack of blogging on my part.  Today, Sami started Junior High--Waa!!--Ally started 3rd grade, and Emmy started 1st grade.  I miss having Emmy around already.  I hope she adjusts ok to all day.  Kassi also thought she was going to school today.  She laid out her clothes last night, insisted on curlers in her hair like her sisters, got dressed this morning, put on a new headband like her sisters, grabbed her back pack, got in the car, got out of the car at the school, walked to both her sisters' new classrooms, then cried because her mom made her leave the school instead of finding a classroom for her.   Poor girl. Her preschool doesn't start until after labor day.

Kassi and I were doing puzzles today.  Everything she did correctly she credited to the baby in her tummy that made her so smart. :)  then I got out the new car seat to wash the cover.  I told her we needed to wash it for when the baby comes. She then announced that her baby would be coming out soon too! She's delivered her baby three times now...  oh if getting them out was only so easy...

Sami gave her very last talk in Primary today.  It was on miracles and she did a great job!  Ally slept all night in her own room last night and even took the time to tidy up before bed tonight.  All of the sudden, she's all grown up.  Where have my babies gone?
