Merry and Peaceful--at last!

Before the attack of four little girls...
Emmy was having a hard time waiting.  She snuck down while Jeremy and I were getting up and found her "American Girl" Doll and was so excited!  And then Dad made her put it back and sent her back to waiting on the stairs with her sisters.

We got rid of our downstairs love seat this year and I've been looking for a futon to replace it.  We decided on a huge "Fombag" (lovesac-like-bag) instead as a Christmas present for the girls and it's been a good choice.  After the living room looked like a tornado hit, the cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate were devoured, and Emmy and Ally ran off to play with their new toys, Jeremy, Sami, Kassi, and I all snuggled up on the Fombag in front of the fireplace.  The warm fire and soft Christmas music playing on Pandora set the perfect ambiance.  It was so relaxing and peaceful that Jeremy even made a comment that Heaven must be something like it.  I agree.  It was the perfect way to spend Christmas and I was finally feeling in the right mood for the holiday.
Soon Emmy and Ally came to join us and we watched Disney's "Brave" for the first time, with all six of us cuddled on the bag.  The snuggling, lit room, and small size of the screen (as compared to a movie screen) made that 'scary bear' so much less scary and we didn't get any nightmares from it!  Ally has come so far.  Thank you, Uncle Shaun and Aunt Penny for sending it!
We spent the rest of the day talking on Oovoo? to my brother, Daniel, in Brazil, as well as my parents, Shaun and Penny, and Adam and Naima.  (Sorry we missed you, Aaron and Kayla)  Then we prepared Christmas dinner which we shared with Jeremy's parents.  All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas!
