Shamrocks, Hearts, and a Groundhog

I LOVE Gold Spray Paint!!  I paint my pumpkins after Halloween to make decorations for Thanksgiving!  Then I paint my Christmas chestnuts to make GOLD NUGGETS for St. Patrick's Day!  I used these for Singing Time at Church yesterday!

Okay, this is over a month late but since we are on the subject of Silly yet FUN holidays at the beginning of the year, here is a peak at Valentine's Day this year.  Jeremy was out of town but the girls and I had fun.  We made heart-shaped jigglers (I haven't made Jello in forever!).  Kassi got a kick out of her first taste of Jello.  She wasn't sure at first, but it didn't take her long to decide it was pretty great stuff!

My VT is an incredible baker!!

Above is Ally's 100th Day of School Poster!  It happened right before Valentine's Day.
Going even further back, below is Ally's Groundhog she made at school for Groundhog Day.
I had to let her take a picture of both projects so she'd let me throw them away....  :)

My Little Performers

Alice in Wonderland: Performance Night #2--Sami and Ally

Backstage

Ally almost didn't dance because she injured her ankle jumping from the basement stairs to the beanbag.  She hit it on the stairs and we thought it was broken but it turned out that the bone was bruised.  All through her dance, she had a little bit of a limp, but she did the whole thing and did an excellent job!  And her little face with makeup!  She looked like a porcelain doll.

Sami did even better in her second performance than her first!

 Bows!

 Flowers from Daddy

Ally's kindergarten teacher came to watch her preform!
 Grandma came too!!

And Auntie was there to watch both performances!

Alice in Wonderland: Performance Night #1--Sami and Emmy

Relaxing before the show.  Here's a good look at her white stripe.  She got to be the red rose that didn't get painted all the way and ends up getting beheaded.

Emmy's teacher moved to Seattle shortly after this performance.  Emmy misses her and still talks of her often.
 Backstage

On Stage, Emmy came running out ahead of her line instead of tiptoing, like in rehearsal, but she didn't do much dancing.  You see, during the dress rehearsals there had been no backdrop or little door, and there certainly hadn't been a beautiful girl (who looks a lot like one of my friends that Emmy just adores) lying on the stage smiling.  Emmy spent more time just staring at 'Alice' and the backdrop than she spent dancing!!  She was darling!  Even when they went to exit the stage, Emmy stayed back to smile and stare at Alice.  She had the whole audience oohing, ahhing, and chuckling at her.
Sami did a fabulous job!  She didn't mess up once and was very enjoyable to watch...

Especially when she reached her 'solo'

 Taking their bows

Daddy brought Emmy roses to congratulate her
