Lil' Tennis Players

The girls got their first taste of tennis this month!  Jeremy and I decided it would be a fun family sport to take up.  I am very excited about getting back into it--it's been 12 years since I've seriously played at all.  Ally and Sami are really enjoying their lessons!!

 My Posers!

As a side note, Sami has been saving for months and finally was able to purchase her very own roller blades last week!  Her cousins, Morgan and Peyton, introduced her to roller blades in March when we were on our Disneyland trip.  Sami has wanted some of her own ever since!
(Talk about a trip down memory lane!  I watch her skate around and remember roller blading with my friend Tiffany at the age of something like eleven, listening to Ace of Base on the boom box!--back when roller blades were the thing to have)

Father's Day Pictures

We took these pictures for a Father's Day present for Jeremy.  I used the ones above.  But I had to include the ones below here because I just love them all!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, JEREMY!!!!

Term!

Yep, I'm officially TERM... and officially looking like this little girl has no intention of being early.  I'm also officially running out of clothes that fit.
Oh, and I'm officially nesting.  I've had a couple days over the last week or so when I've woken in the morning feeling frantic and needing to nest--like there is so much to do and I'm running out of time.  So I have washed all the baby clothes (after I washed my washer and dryer), washed and put together the bassinet, carseat, and changing table, packed my hospital bag, preregistered for the hospital, had my carpets cleaned, wiped down numerous random surfaces, prepared a variety of freezer meals, re-organized a couple closets, and vacuumed my entire house.  Not to mention my usual but now more persistent re-cleaning of the basic living areas.
Nesting is exhausting and doesn't produce nearly enough contractions to make it worth it...

Storytime with Grandma

The night before Grandma had to head back home, she spent some time snuggling with her granddaughters and told them a very long and elaborate story that was a spin off of Sleeping Beauty.  The girls are still laughing and quoting parts of it!  The Princess's name was Good Morning.  I think their favorite parts are when the Good Morning's tricycle turns into a spinning wheel, when the Half Prince/Sea Merchant finds the tricycle and begins riding it and accidentally starts the castle on fire, and when the Princess gets kissed on the cheek and wakes up--she slaps the Half Prince across the face and says "Don't you do that again!  Number one, why am I outside? And number two, why is my house on fire!?"  With all the one hundred-year-old people hobbling out of the burning castle...
The girls were all giggles and belly laughs for over half an hour!

The First Day of Summer Vacation

We spent the first official day of summer vacation with Grandma, Nana, and Auntie!  It was a very hot, yet windy day, so we did a picnic at the park, followed by flying kites, and then running through sprinklers!  All in all, the girls had fun!

30

Well, I guess I finally made it.  Last week, I turned 30.  Crazy, huh?  I'm going to miss my 20's, but I look forward to what this decade has in store for me!  And since mostly all of my friends are actually older than me, I feel like I'm catching up by joining the realm of 30.  I know, silly...but true.  With the exception of being considered "old," I've been looking forward to being 30 for a couple years now.  I did have a slight bit of depression hit on my birthday.  Not only am I now 30, but I am also almost done being pregnant with my last baby and I just feel like I'm entering a whole new chapter of life. But honestly, being 30 feels no different than 29--I know, shocking!
My fabulous hubby threw me a surprise party the night before my birthday.  He invited a bunch of our friends and neighbors over as well as his parents.  My mom, grandma, and aunt were all in town for a long weekend to go to a Genealogy Reunion, so they played a big role in the decorations and set up--with a lot of help from three little girls, I understand.  I became slightly suspicious when my mom, grandma, aunt, and Sami all left the Chinese restaurant in a hurry and Jeremy seemed to be seriously dragging his feet to get home.  But I didn't expect to be seeing so many people when I go home!  A cake with family was about all I was thinking.
Of course, no one told me my hair was an absolute mess the whole time...
The crown was my mom's doing, but my girls ate it up and refused to let me take it off the entire evening.  Silly girls.  Thanks, Mom!

Thanks, Hun, for a fun little party!  Now, I get the pleasure of spending six years planning your 40th...  :)
